Delivery
We deliver on Wednesdays to Redruth, Pool, Camborne and surrounding areas. Delivery is £2 for local addresses and £5 for rural addresses. It’s free if you collect from the garden.
Live somewhere we don’t reach yet, such as Truro? If enough people ask, we’ll add it. Tell us you’re interested.
How to start
- Choose your size and price on our Ooooby shop.
- Start with a one-week trial to see if it suits you.
- Carry on weekly if you like it. We’re not an ad agency and we don’t pay for marketing. We’d rather offer veg and find our people that way, so once you’ve been with us a while, get in touch with Dan and he’ll sort you a free bag.
What’s in a veg bag
Whatever is in season. You might get tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, chard, leeks, onions, beetroot, carrots, salad leaves, courgettes, beans, garlic, squash, Jerusalem artichokes and herbs, and plenty more. No two weeks are the same.
During the hungry gap, which runs from winter into spring, we sometimes add veg from UK organic producers to keep the bags full. How much varies from week to week.
How we grow it
We grow organically at Grassroots Garden in Redruth: no synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers, low-disturbance methods and open-pollinated seed. We aren’t certified organic. Certification is costly and built for larger farms, and we’d rather spend that money on growing and on keeping prices fair. Read how we grow.

How much is delivery?
£2 for local addresses, £5 for rural addresses, and free if you collect from the garden.
How do the three prices work?
Every size comes in subsidised (25% less), standard and solidarity (25% more) prices. Everyone gets the same bag. Solidarity payments help cover the subsidised bags.

We grow organically, without synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers, but we are not certified. Certification is expensive and designed for larger farms.

Most of the time, yes. Through the hungry gap, winter into spring, we sometimes buy in extra veg from UK organic producers. How much varies.
